Never forget our children feed off of us in every sense; Mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
You may not see it, but your children can sense that you aren’t you. So take some time out for you. Ask hubby/ grandma / a friend to watch the kids for a few hours. Really relax, cry, go to the movies, start that book, scream, pray, meditate, blast music, go for a walk, call a friend, or take an extra couple of minutes in the shower. Even if you only have your “ me time” after the kids go to bed, do whatever YOU need to do. Woo-sah, evaluate, then eventually you’ll levitate back into you, or an even better version of the bomb woman you know you are. You can’t be the best mom you can be if you’re not taking care of yourself first. Trust, I’m nowhere near mastering this skill, but I’m trying.
